About 6 years ago I was walking home from having Christmas dinner at a friend's house. It was around midnight, windy and super cold. All I could think about was getting back to my apartment, put my cozy socks on and slip into bed. Nevertheless, someone around me had other plans in mind. As I stepped out of the subway and away from the crowds, I had the feeling I wasn't alone, and later I found out I wasn't.

A really big guy had been following me; he positioned himself in front of me so at first it didn't seem like he was keeping an eye on me. It took me a while to realize that something wasn't right. In fact, something had been telling me that I shouldn't keep walking this way before I listened to that "something". I keept walking farther and farther from the lights and the crowd, and the guy was still with me. I crossed the street and he crossed with me. At such time I realized I should have listened to that "something". Luckily I wasn't so far that nobody could see me. I saw a few people walking and I started to walk with them back to the subway station. To my bad luck the people I was walking with turned the corner and again I was alone. When I looked back I saw the guy who at this point hid from me. My first reaction was anger. I wanted to run and hit him as hard as I could. HOW DARE YOU!!!!! That little "something" came back and said, RUN AWAY HE CAN REALLY HURT YOU. So I ran into a diner that was a few blocks away and said that I was being followed. The owner called the cops who then gave me a ride to my apartment.

So the answer to the question of should we listen to our intuition is YES, ALWAYS. Throughout this experience I kept ignoring that strange sensation I was feeling. I kept telling myself that I shouldn't be such a coward. Walking home by myself is no big deal! Now I know that I should listen to my intuition.
