"You'll be a Dentist...you have a talent for causing things PAIN!" Steve Martin's character Orin Scrivello from the Little Shop of Horrors has got nothing on Dr. William Moody or Westchester!
What was this guy thinking (or not thinking). This is all in front of cameras, cops and about 15 witnesses.
The infamous road rage video of road rage was the second run-in Dr. William Moody had with a driver in just the space of a few minutes. This was shot in January,2007...so much for speedy trial.
The White Plains dentist now has a mouthpiece – renowned Harlem attorney Gary Jenkins.
"My client would like to express his sorrow and concern about what happened. The incident was unfortunate, but there are extenuating circumstances that will come to light," said Jenkins.
Jenkins also said that when all the facts are out, Moody would be cleared in the alleged assault captured by cameras.
Monday, Moody claimed Luis Infante provoked him with a racial slur.
"He spit in my face and called me a n----- p----," said Moody.
Infante, however, flatly denies spitting at or swearing at Dr. Moody.
"I never ever called anybody with the 'n-word,'" said Infante. "Never in my life, and I never will."
It was learned just minutes before the confrontation on Court Street, Moody was behind the wheel of his Mercedes and involved in another bizarre incident just a few blocks away.
White Plains police say at the corner of Main and Mamaroneck, Moody rear-ended another car, grabbed the other driver's registration papers, jumped in his Mercedes and fled the scene.
Moody's attorney said his client denies any wrongdoing and will fight the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
Regardless of the outcome, it's the latest in a long rap sheet of legal troubles for Dr. Moody. He's been arrested 10 times on a variety of charges since 1990.
In virtually every case a plea bargain allowed Moody to walk.
