The M-1 Challenge is set for the Ice Palace on Oct. 28 in St. Petersburg, Russia, with a few of the matchups set and some others to be determined. Lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight belts will be on the line. For the lightweight title, M-1 Selection Eastern Europe 2010 champion Artiom Damkovsky (10-4) faces Mairbek Taisumov (12-2), the M-1 Selection Western Europe 2010 champion (12-2). For the middleweight crown, M-1 Selection Eastern Europe 2010 champion Magomed Sultanakhmedov (28-4) meets Rafal Moks (5-2), the M-1 Selection Western Europe 2010 winner. In the Heavyweight title fight , Maxim Grishin (7-4), the M-1 Selection Eastern Europe champion, takes on M-1 Selection Western Europe champion Guram Gugenishvili (8-0). The welterweight and light heavyweight championship bouts are being scheduled for later this year in the United States, establishing M-1 Challenge champions in all five weight classes. Once executed, a true contenders system will be established to fuel events throughout 2011.
